HOW WE ARE KEEPING OUR CUSTOMERS SAFE

The City Mobility team is delighted to announce our showroom in Inverness is open from Monday 8 June, though given the need for social distancing and hygiene measures to protect both you and our staff, we’re operating a little differently.  If you are able and happy to come to our showroom here’s an outline of the measures we have put in place…

Before you visit our showroom

Our showroom will operate on a private appointment basis only. This therefore means that you, or you and one other person such as a family member or carer, would be the only customers in the showroom at that time.

To make an appointment, just call 01463 250850 or email info@city-mobility.co.uk

The Health and Safety of our staff is of the utmost importance to us.  And keeping staff well means we will be able to continue to serve the 100s of people with disabilities and mobility issues that rely on us.  Please do not visit if you are feeling unwell or displaying any of the advertised signs of COVID-19. However, we would ask for your patience as we are operating with limited staff.

Visiting our showroom

Our staff will:

  • keep at least 2 metres from you and obviously won’t shake hands when they greet you;
  • give you the opportunity to wash your hands or use a hand sanitiser;
  • keep all the surfaces you may come in to contact with clean and sanitised;
  • wipe down equipment before you test it out;
  • insist you wear a face mask if verbal instructions aren’t enough and they need to get closer to show you how something works (you can bring your own or disposable face masks can be provided).

This will all help to ensure that you’ll be able to relax and take all the time you need to discuss your mobility needs with staff and find the best product for you.

Free home demos of powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters (excluding Motability customers)

We are unable to offer free home demos of a selection of equipment at this time because we are operating with limited staff.  However, if you know which product you want we can order this for you and, after payment, can arrange free home delivery to outside your home with social distancing in place with basic instruction at a distance.  You can however register your interest with us by calling 01463 250850 or e-mailing info@city-mobility.co.uk and once we commence again we will call you to make an appointment.

Maintenance, repairs and servicing

Our workshop is now closed to members of the public.  You must not drop-in with queries or drop equipment off.  We will only be able to offer our services at your home.  You can make a booking by calling 01463 250850.  However, we would ask for your patience as we are operating with limited staff.

The Health and Safety of our staff is of the utmost importance to us.  And keeping staff well means we will be able to continue to serve the 100s of people with disabilities and mobility issues that rely on us.  Please cancel your call out if you are feeling unwell or displaying any of the advertised signs of COVID-19 giving as much notice as possible.  You should call 01463 250850 to do this.

Our staff will:

  • keep at least 2 metres from you and obviously won’t shake hands when they greet you;
  • where possible, carry out the work at their van outside your home.  If this is not possible they can work in a garage, shed, or garden.
  • If they have to come into your home you should stay out of the room and make sure it is ventilated by opening a window.
  • Wipe down your equipment before and after the work;
  • insist you wear a face mask if verbal instructions aren’t enough and they need to get close to show you how something works (you can provide your own or disposable face masks can be provided but you must dispose of it yourself). They will wear a mask too.

Home demos of car adaptations

If you are a Motability customer we can come to you with our demo car and demonstrate the range of car adaptations we have installed on it.  If you are a private customer we may only be able to do this at our workshop.  Please call 01463 250850 to discuss your needs.  However, we would ask for your patience as we are operating with limited staff.
